Here is your Downtown Bentonville Itinerary.

Get up early and take a walk around the beautiful the Bentonville Square.

Coffee – Grab a coffee at Onyx Coffee Lab located just off the Square or Heroes on SW 8th St. The aromas alone will instantly wake up your senses. 

Farmers Market – If you are visiting April through October, start with the awesome Saturday Farmers Market also located on the Downtown Square.

Breakfast & Coffee

Depending on your cravings, Drop in at Ozark Mountain Bagel Co a first-class, NYC-style bagel shop just steps away from the Square or Table Mesa’s grab and go bakery. For delicious full breakfasts try The Hive at 21C Museum Hotel or Pressroom (the heartbeat of the city with a great patio). You can leave your hunger pangs behind when you walk through the doors of any of the Top 10 Breakfast places in Bentonville.

Bentonville Trails

Walkers And Nature Lovers -If you enjoy walking, you must walk the beautiful Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art Trail (littered with amazing sculptures) and the Compton Gardens trail (showcases the natural beauty of Northwest Arkansas), then come back to the Square and take in the Walmart Museum (the story of Walmart and its founder, Sam Walton. Visit adjoining Spark Cafe (inexpensive ice cream parlor extraordinaire) while you’re there.

If you have a bike or if not, you can rent one at Phat Tire or one of the other bike rental shops around town then you’re all set to cruise around the downtown area or venture on out a bit to Slaughter Pen, Coler MTB Preserve or the Razorback Greenway. Shoppers – Enjoy shopping the trendy boutiques around the Historic Bentonville Downtown Square. There are also many specialty shops like Strider Bikes Bentonville, Once Upon A Time Books and 3 Dog Bakery on or just off the Downtown Square.

Places To Eat

RestaurantsWright’s BBQ just behind 21c Museum Hotel and the Splash Pad has out-of-this-world barbecue, Crepes Paulette on SW 8th St. has amazing French crepes, or check out one of the many other outstanding Bentonville Restaurants on our current Top 10 Bentonville Restaurants list.

Food Trucks – Trucks of every kind including pizza, crepes, Chinese, and much more are situated throughout the city. Top Food Trucks in Bentonville has a great list of Top 10 food trucks in the area. Use it as a guide, and save yourself the time and energy of trying to find the ones with outstanding service and food.

Crystal Bridges – The Momentary – The Amazeum

Museums –Great time to take in Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art (permanent exhibit is FREE) or one of the other amazing Bentonville museums including, The Momentary (a sister museum to Crystal Bridges, but featuring contemporary and art of the present) or Amazeum (a hands on interactive museum and educational center for the kiddos in your group.
More Shopping – Check out the shops on and around the square that you didn’t get to in the AM.

Take A Break – After visiting Crystal Bridges or other museums, drop off all your packages at your room and put your feet up for a bit.

Wine Bars – Ramo d’Olivo is a unique spot offering olive oils, balsamics, an extensive wine list, classy new wine lounge, local craft beers and a delightful deck and patio with scheduled live music. Tavola Trattoria als has a long wine list. 

Craft Beer – Bike Rack Brewery, right next door to Pedelar’s Pub on SW A St. (great deck and patio with scheduled live music). This is a popular hangout for bikers as is The Hub Bike Lounge also on SW A St.

Bentonville Dive offers a great patio and limited seating indoors

Restaurants – Preacher’s Son (American), Table Mesa Bistro (Latin), Bar Cleeta (Gourmet Small Plates) and Tavola Trattoria (Italian) are all either on the Square or nearby, and all are highly recommended. Here is a complete listing of  Restaurants on the Bentonville Square.

Nightlife – Drinks

Hot Spots – Meteor Guitar Gallery has weekly live performances. The rooftop bar at the Momentary has great drinks and a killer view of the city. The Undercroft, beneath Preacher’s Son, is a great place to enjoy the evening. Scotch & Soda has fun sidewalk seating, 8th St. Market offers Bike Rack Brewing and tap room, live entertainment, food trucks and games (popular local hangout) and Pedaler’s Pub has a huge deck, live music and awesome wood-fired pizza (another local hangout catering to cyclists, but welcoming everyone.
