Start your stay with a quick visit to Rogers Historical Museum at 322 S 2nd St, and then head on over to the newly renovated Lake Atalanta, located just East of the city of Roger. It’s a beautiful public park and reservoir along Prairie Creek in Rogers. Surrounded by nature, Lake Atalanta has a paved walking trail, 2 children’s playgrounds, 6 fishing piers, numerous benches, 5 pavilions and 3 bathroom facilities. Rogers is known for its many art events in the downtown area, check to see if one is going on during your stay.  This beautiful city has two distinctly different farmers markets: Downtown Rogers Farmers Market on Cherry St is much more than a market with fruit, produce and countryside bounty, it is also a place to connect with others. If you enjoy a cozy, friendly market, you’ll love this delightful gem in the heart of downtown Rogers. The Rogers Farmers Market, located at 100 Dixieland Rd has fresh veggies, fruits, jams, art and crafts. You’ll enjoy either of these exciting markets.

or… If you’re up for a great down-home-style breakfast, stop in at Wesner’s on W Chestnut St. It has been a thriving local restaurant for many years. JB Hunt of JB Hunt Transport used to drop by this breakfast joint on a regular basis. The cinnamon rolls are fabulous, but get there early, they do run out.

or… If you like history, visit War Eagle Mill, a working gristmill with a gift shop and the Bean Palace restaurant.  This unique restaurant features yummy eating using flours straight from the mill.

SHOPPING IN ROGERS AR

If you enjoy cooking or know someone who does, you will love Honeycomb Kitchen where you can find literally everything you’ve ever wanted for the kitchen. There’s a full kitchen in the back of the store where you might catch area chefs demonstrating cooking techniques and handy shortcuts.

Phat Tire Bike Shop has everything from bikes to racing gear, and clothing for the biking enthusiast. A. G. Russell Knives, off I-49 has an enormous selection of excellent cutlery including its own A. G. Russell brand, which is shop made right in the Rogers store. Duluth Trading Company is nearby and offers quality clothing and accessories.

LUNCH FOR FOODIES

For a deliciously different burger, try Parkside Public at 112 S 1st St. The burgers are amazing and the staff is too. The Rail-A Pizza Company in downtown Rogers at 218 S 1st Street serves up great pies and cold, very cold craft beer. The vibe is upbeat and the servers are friendly and attentive.

FLEA MARKET/ANTIQUE MALL PARADISE/UPSCALE SHOPPING

Rogers has an abundance of wonderful clean, well laid out indoor flea markets and antique malls to choose from. An afternoon at these delightful shopping destinations can quickly slip away as you look for that certain something that you’ve not been able to find elsewhere. The Rose Antique Mall and Somewhere In Time are all on W. Walnut. Imagine, finding that special one-of-a kind item that you’ve been looking for!
