Jordan Howard is a mushroom enthusiast who has lived in Siloam Springs since 2014. He enjoys foraging for wild mushrooms and also growing his own mushrooms at home. He recently brought five varieties of homegrown mushrooms to the Siloam Springs Farmers Market.
Jordan will share his experience and love of hunting for mushrooms right here in Siloam. If you’re interested, but nervous about identifying delicious (and free) food for your table – it’s easier than you think

Join The Diana Project for an informative :45 slideshow presentation on Arkansas’ state butterfly. Discover why this unique butterfly is currently listed as threatened and learn how you can easily make a difference in their survival. We will explore the specific plants crucial for the caterpillars and the preferred nectar of the adults. Also included is tips about providing them with vital habitat. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn about Arkansas’s state butterfly and how you can contribute to its preservation.
Ms. Shawn Hunter is a member of NWA chapter of Master Naturalists and Pollinator Steward Certified. A graduate of John Brown University and United States Navy Veteran, Miss Hunter founded and operated Inuendos Design Company in Siloam Springs, Arkansas from 2002 until her retirement in 2022. Retirement has been used to re-learn the art of watercolor, urban sketching and photography while hiking and traveling with her partner Jim. In her capacities as veteran and small business owner she gained useful project management and marketing skills she now uses to support conservation efforts. As co-founder and project lead for The Diana Project her current focus is to educate the public about the unique needs of Arkansas’s threatened State Butterfly, The Diana Fritillary (Argynnis Diana), and how they can help.
