Tex-Mex is Americanized Mexican food usually containing Mexican-style tortillas, some form of meat like beef or pork, black or pinto beans, and tons of shredded cheese. Common examples are Texas-style chili con carne and fajitas are both Tex-Mex foods.

In the NWA area since 1999, two additional stores have opened in Rogers and Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

A long standing Tex Mex restaurant, specializing in traditional Tex Mex cuisine including enchiladas, tacos, beans, guacamole and rice. Glasgow’s also has some American food including burgers.

In business since 2012, Las Palmas serves a variety of delicious Tex-Mex food. The food is made from the freshest of ingredients, and good Mexican beer is on tap. The Oasis has Ark-Mex rather than Tex-Mex, and the menu items include lots of meat dishes as well as their vegetarian and vegan options. The food is reasonably priced. Everything is fresh and tasty. The salsa is sold by the bottle, and people travel to Eureka just to stock up. The place is small, but cozy, and enjoys many great reviews.

Fayetteville

Acambaro Mexican Restaurant $$

Open seven days a week from 11 AM – 9 PM, but on the weekends they stay open until 10 PM. Many of their fans believe they make the best margarita in town. This could be because they stock a wide variety of tequilas. It is a friendly, casual restaurant featuring a large selection of all your Tex-Mex favorites. Parties and catering are welcome.
