Join us at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at the Shiloh Museum as staff members give a presentation on Winslow’s Petticoat Government in our Not Strictly History series.
As we observe Women’s History Month, we take a look at the bank cashier, pharmacist and postmistress who were among those who made up Arkansas’ first Petticoat Government, a town that was run entirely by women. Shiloh staff will explore the events leading up to this historic time as well as provide information on the women involved. Collections relating to Winslow and the Petticoat Government will be on display before and after the presentation. Admission is free.
This in-person event is also available via Zoom. To register for online viewing, and for details about the program, visit https://shilohmuseum.org/museum-events/ozark-womens-history/.
