FAQ’s

Travel agents offer years of experience and training in every aspect of vacation, destination wedding, and honeymoon planning.  A professional agent is an advocate for you the traveler, and seeks to provide recommendations based on their own personal experiences.  We have contacts with the sales and management personal on site at the hotels, and most likely have stayed there ourselves.  Also, in the event of plans affected by travel delays, mother nature, or emergencies, your travel professional will be able to contact the appropriate people to get things back on track.  Travel agents save you countless hours of research, sitting on the phone waiting for a supplier, or maybe missing your vacation all together.  Agents may charge a small fee to compensate for hours of research time, depending on the type of trip you want to take.  Some do not.

All-Inclusive can mean different things to different people. The term is used mostly when describing a vacation or resort that includes EVERYTHING in the price upfront. Typically this would be airfare, the hotel stay, all meals, all beverages including alcohol, non-motorized watersports, and taxes and gratuities. All-Inclusive destinations and resorts are usually found in Mexico and the Caribbean. Many cruise lines are now offering the option of adding an all-inclusive component to your cruise vacation as well.

Yes, you can save money, and also the headaches of making a poor decision. Everyone’s hotel online looks like a 5 Star, however the reality of that is very different. A reputable travel professional will have stayed in many of the hotels in the areas you want to visit. They will know firsthand if someone has a great beach, is within walking distance to shopping, and which restaurants to choose. They will know the lay of the land as far as the safe areas to stay and play.

However if all you need is an airline ticket, then you are better off to just buy that ticket online, as travel agencies are no longer compensated by the airlines. Therefore most will charge a fee ranging from $25.00 to 10% of the price of the ticket.

But when you are talking about saving money, how much will a bad vacation cost you? Ask your friends for a referral to their favorite travel agent, or search for one that specializes in where you want to go. You’ll have a great experience that way, it won’t cost you more than doing it yourself, and you won’t spend hours and hours researching the best places to see!
