What the Locals Say…

Time to take a listen to what the Springdale locals say about their wonderful neck of the NWA woods! When in Springdale, the locals say:
Don’t miss the AQ Chicken House Restaurant over on 71B. With good reason, it is world famous for its tasty-treat-delight fried chicken. It’s definitely one of the best restaurants in Springdale, AR!
If you are celebrating a special occasion, you can’t beat James at the Mill in Springdale. Current and returning Springdale natives always make it a point to eat at James at the Mill. Everything served there is delicious, but a local favorite continues to be the James at the Mill Caesar salad.
Get the jambalaya pasta and ribs at the MarketPlace Grill. The sweet potato fries are also to die for, the spinach dip is superb and the salmon is terrific. MarketPlace Grill is often mentioned as the best place to eat in Springdale.
If you are a baseball fan, visit the $33-million Arvest Ballpark, the home of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals of the Texas League. If you are visiting May through September, you can catch more than just one of the 70-plus home games and cheer our boys on!
To get a true feel for the essence of the city, take the time to walk Emma Ave in downtown Springdale where you will find shops like the Abbey Antique Shop and Mix and Manor. Also, the Shiloh Museum is on the corner of Main Street and Johnson Ave, and if you have time, you can take a ride on the fully restored A & M Excursion train car, which provides a round-trip to historic Van Buren, AR and then back to Springdale.
If your timing is just right, you can see the Rodeo of the Ozarks. This event is four days of wonderful family fun, including the professional rodeo competition with quite a nice purse for the winner and two days of parades and celebration.
The first Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon, the Springdale Chamber of Commerce puts on Coffee and Cars. Located on the corner of Emma Ave and Spring Street downtown, Coffee and Cars is a terrific opportunity to see beautifully restored cars and trucks.
