It’s no secret that the Northwest Arkansas craft beer scene has exploded in recent years, but never has the number of local breweries, the size of the local following, and the sense of community among craft beer lovers been as easily observed as it was at the inaugural ‘Frost Fest’ presented by Fossil Cove Brewing Company in Fayetteville on Saturday.
The event was held at an open lot owned by Fossil Cove just around the corner from their very cool taproom and brewery on N Birch Ave off Poplar St in Fayetteville. A portion of proceeds went to the Apple Seed’s Teaching Farm in Fayetteville.
The event sold out its fifteen hundred tickets a full day before the event and just about everyone came early, stayed the whole time, and wished it would have gone longer.
Over twenty brewery tents offered their beers on tap for sampling, food trucks lined the fences, and music emanated from a live music stage where there was never a lull. Everyone was having a good time, making new friends, and learning about a big number of the local breweries from the people who actually brew the beer.
The craft brew scene is here to stay, and the outstanding job at throwing this festival the guys at Fossil Cove coupled with the delicious beer and friendly people of the brewery tents has raised the bar for everyone. We’re so glad to have things like this in Northwest Arkansas and just can’t wait until the next festival celebrating our local businesses. Below is a list of breweries and food trucks who took part.
