Grab your corgi(s) and join the one and only NWA Corgi crew in the 2024 Downtown Bentonville Christmas Parade as a walking group! Can you believe this will be our 8th year walking in the parade?!
Last year, over 75 corgis showed up and we are going for even more this year! Can we get 100 corgis?? Only one way to find out!!
Get your corgi Christmas outfits ready! Don’t think your corgi can walk very far? Decorate a wagon or a stroller with some Christmas decor and pull them with the group!
Think your corgi is too much of a grumpy gills to join? There is lots of space to stretch out and separate yourselves before we start walking, plus you can distance yourself from others when it’s go time too!
Have a corgi wannabe? They can join us too!
**2024 DOWNTOWN BENTONVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE NWA CORGI WALKING INSTRUCTIONS**
Who can walk with our group in the parade?
Anyone with a corgi or a corgi “wannabe”! All corgis & friends are welcome 🙂
Our Parade Line-up location will be announced as a post in this event’s discussion section in December so check back in with us closer to go time! Our lineup location (TBD) in the parade will also designate what our load in time is that we must all arrive by. Again, our walking location is still yet to be determined as well as what time we must arrive by! ***CHECK FOR UPDATED DETAILS IN THE EVENT DISCUSSION SECTION OF THIS EVENT THE FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER.***
There will be NO parking at the staging grounds area this year!! Someone can drop you off in the staging area but they must exit with their vehicles immediately after dropping you off as the DBB parade committee is not allowing ANY parade participants to leave their cars at the staging grounds. If you wish to park a car nearby, you are required to park your vehicle in a designated parking area (map will also be provided in discussion section of this event for your reference).
Look for one of our giant corgi cardboard cutout signs and our banner!
Please pay attention to arrival times once announced; parking will get wild and arriving early will allow you to work through any issues finding the group in advance. We usually start walking right at 6:00 PM!
Distance walked is less than a mile! If you would like an easy getaway, park your car at the end of the parade route (over by Preacher’s Son) and walk over to our meetup location.
Children and Animals:
All children under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult.
Children under 5 years old, not directly accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian will not be allowed to participate in the parade.
All animals must be leashed and/or harnessed, under close supervision at all times, and must be cleaned up after, immediately throughout the parade route. CLEAN UP IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT.
Distribution of pamphlets, newsletters, and other documentation is not allowed during the parade, on the parade route, or within the parade assembly area.
Santa!:
Only the official parade Santa Claus will be allowed in the parade. No other live Santa Claus characters will be allowed to participate in the event.
Weather:
Meteorologists are on-staff. Should we need to make inclement weather decisions, you will be contacted.
Please reach out before event day with any questions and thank you for participating!!!
Let’s give Bentonville the coolest parade in Arkansas!
The Parade will be replayed on KNWA, Christmas Day, 11am 😊
